It's been a huge commitment but the Nás na Rí Singers have achieved their goal.  Over the last six weeks, a co-ordinated effort to flood Kildare with Christmas cheer, in the best possible of causes, has seen us bring our beautiful CD of Christmas music to every corner of the county and further afield.

Rejoice and be Merry has been played in London, Paris, Sri Lanka, on RTE Lyric FM's Carols for Christmas, and on KFM.  The choir has featured on Irish TV, at channel 191.  The reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
We encouraged our young partners, the school choir of Scoil Bhride, Naas to apply to RTE Carols for Christmas also, and we're delighted that they were selected, a huge achievement for a primary school!  Congratulations.
The project has shown us what we can achieve when we really set our minds to accept only the very best that we are capable of, and the esprit de corps in the choir has soared to new heights.

It's time to thank all the people who have helped us in this mammoth undertaking:
Kildare County Council and the council Arts Service provided vital funding, which kept our costs as low as possible, maximising the potential return to the Friends of Naas Hospital.
Barker and Jones bookstore, Naas, have tirelessly advertised, both the CD and the celebration concert, and they sold well over a hundred CDs commission free.  Additionally, many thanks are due to Barker and Jones for the beautiful venue they provided us for our launch and sponsored the refreshments.
Many local venues have offered us facilities to offer copies of Rejoice and be Merry, including Ballymore Eustace GAA winter fair, Punchestown racecourse, Kildare Village, Whitewater Shopping Centre, Naas country market, McAuley Place, Farrell and Nephew bookstore, Newbridge, Naas Rugby Club and the Moat Theatre, Naas.  Local Churches and Parish Centres have welcomed us too.

And we couldn't have done it without the colossal support and commitment of the singers and past singers of Nás na Rí.  Our members embraced the project with enthusiasm and sold dozens of CDs each to friends and family and at sales events all over the county.  Thanks to each and every one.

Friends of Naas Hospital called on all their friends and supporters built up over 30 years of dedicated effort and sold hundreds of CDs in their own right.  We couldn't have picked a better charity partner with whom to attempt such a huge undertaking.  We are so proud to have already raised thousands of euro for Friends of Naas Hospital, even though the project is still ongoing.  Final tallies will be completed early in January, and the vital work of the Friends will be significantly boosted; a great way to start the New Year.

Wishing all our friends, audience and supporters a wonderful and peaceful Christmas and nothing more remains to be said other than, Rejoice and be Merry!
