Now that Halloween is over and the clocks have fallen backwards, autumn has yielded to dark nights and roaring open fires...It's time to talk about Christmas.
Although, as every singer knows, for choirs Christmas starts in September.
The Nás na Rí Singers, as always have a very exciting Christmas line up ahead.

Nás na Rí Singers Christmas concert, 15th December 2017, on behalf of Trócaire.
Glorious traditional Christmas music, for a great cause.
The Nás na Rí Singers annual Christmas Concert is a highlight of the Kildare choral music scene, and always raises much needed funds for worthy causes; most recently the Moat Theatre, McAuley Place, The Friends of Naas Hospital,  HOPE(d), St Vincent de Paul and the restoration of the Church of Our Lady and St David.  Since celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2012, the choir, alone or in collaboration with other local musicians, has helped raise approximately €50,000 for local charitable projects.
This year, the Nás na Rí Singers are delighted to announce that our charity partner is Irish international development charity Trócaire.
Established in 1973, just one year after the foundation of the Nás na Rí Singers, Trócaire is based in Maynooth, Co Kildare and has a proud 44 year history of working with the poorest, most marginalised communities on earth. Last year alone, Trócaire programmes aided 2.2 million people in Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East.
The Naas Christmas concert will take place on Friday 15th December 2017, in the Church of Our Lady and St David.  Tickets are priced at €15 and will be available from Barker and Jones, the Parish centre, and from members of the choir.
Additionally, the choir will travel to Dublin, to represent Kildare at a Gala concert hosted by Trócaire at the Monastery at Mount Argus on December 3rd, featuring several choirs and a host of solo stars of song and music.
The choir sees this collaborative concert as an opportunity to extend our involvement in the national conversation of the choral community, of which we are already a vibrant part, travelling to competitions, recording, performing, and collaborating widely.
We look forward to seeing our loyal audience at our Christmas concerts and to raising vital funds for one of our most respected and valued charitable organisations. With a repertoire including the Christmas Choruses from Handel’s Messiah and other Christmas classics old and new, these will be concerts to remember.
