Following one from two hugely successful charity partnerships (2015, Friends of Naas Hospital, €9,750 and 2016 The Moat Club €4,000) the Nás na Rí Singers are delighted to have been asked to raise our voices for McAuley Place, Naas. Located in the old Convent of Mercy in the heart of Naas town, McAuley Place is a unique vision of how to maximise the joys of aging in a communal and co-operative environment. Under the auspices of Naas Housing Association McAuley Place is unique in Ireland and it now provides
  • 53 self-contained one-bedroomed apartments
  • Convent Tea Rooms
  • Arts and Culture Centre
  • Community Centre
  • Volunteer Centre
  • Health through Learning Centre with an associated garden is being planned.

It is not at all surprising that this wonderful project has been featured on national television, radio and press and is seen as a blueprint for future developments.
The Nás na Rí Singers are delighted to collaborate with the Baldonnel Singers (a thirty five member male voice choir) and with tenor Paul Linehan, presenting a Gala Concert of all the best of contemporary and traditional choral singing on behalf of McAuley Place. This wonderful event will take place on Saturday 25th March at the Church of Our Lady and St David, Naas. Tickets priced at €20 are available from McAuley Place and from members of the choir.
